ABOUT

What began as a solo project by rising composer and multi-instrumentalist

Emanuel Reichert-Lübbert at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz has since evolved

into a tightly knit quintet: Time for Aardvarks.

In a world overflowing with possibilities yet marked by growing disorientation, the

band has made it their mission to translate this paradoxical state of being into

music. Their songs lead listeners on an emotional journey through the extremes

of modern existence — at once tender and introspective, then raw and untamed.

Fragile melodies and ethereal textures dissolve into powerful djent riffs, intricate

polyrhythms, and visceral screams, blurring the line between control and chaos.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary classical music, Time for Aardvarks

experiment with unconventional harmonies, extended playing techniques, and

contrasting sound palettes.

For the young musicians from Mainz and beyond, momentum is building. Over

the past year, alongside a string of live performances across Germany, they have

poured their energy into songwriting and production. On October 3rd, 2025,

they will unveil Holarchy — their official debut album.

With their adventurous spirit, sonic diversity, and uncompromising

commitment to quality, Time for Aardvarks stand out as one of the

most exciting new voices in the progressive metal scene.
